So Alice in Wonderland came out on Friday with Johnny Depp + Tim Burton, Anne Hathaway, and other well-known actors and actresses.... I'm SUPER excited to see it! I love Tim Burton, and his movies with Johnny Depp are always awesome. I just love all of those movies, and the dark, gothic feel to them. I've also been reading the book in both German and English on my Kindle.
Okay, now about my favorite song! "Strange" with Kerli, a rather Gothic singer from Estonia (who I like) and Tokio Hotel (stifles excited screams), a fanTASTic band from Germany! I could go on forever about Tokio Hotel, but I'll save you the fangirl speech. ;D Haha. So here is the B-E-A-U-tiful song:
I'm starting to forget the meaning of the word "strange."
And at the beginning, when I heard it, I was like "Ohmigod, is that seriously Bill?!" because for some reason, he sounds really different at the beginning! But you can really tell it's him in the chorus! And if this is the first time you've heard of Tokio Hotel (read: if you don't actually know me) then yes, haha, Bill looks so girly, are you sure he's a guy, he's gay isn't he, blah blah blah. /rolls eyes/ Just get it out now, because Bill's awesome, and this is so NOT the last time I shall blog about him and his extremely hot twin, Tom.*
Hehe...yum.
* And their bassist and drummer, Georg Listing and Gustav Schaefer. But they get kind of overlooked since they're standing in the shadow of pure sexiness (Tom.)
On a sort of related, sort of not related note, Bill is freakin' TALL. He's over 6 feet! And Tom is 5'11, but Bill is freakin' TALL.
Jermaine Sellers-- boring. Picks crappy songs. Reminiscent of lounge music and old people.
Jon Park-- boring. Picks crappy songs.
Tim Urban-- not as cute as everyone thinks. Not that great a voice. Don't think he has what it takes. Not good at picking songs.
Michael Lynche-- Not the worst, but not the best.
Lee Dewyze-- can't STAND this guy. His voice is nice I guess, but he is so...WEAK. Nervous. Personality-wise, he seems pale and watered down.
Casey James-- I think it's funny that Cara is such a fan, but can you imagine how embarrassing it is? And also, if Randi (Randy?) or Simon did that to a girl, they would be in a LOT of trouble.
Aaron Kelly-- great job last night. I've warmed up to him 'cause he does photography, lol. But he's too reminiscent of Jesse McCartney. I don't know...
Andrew Garcia-- *does the wave* I LOVE HIM! :D Lol. Not a great job picking songs, lately. But he's so awesome! I want him to win!!
The guy with the mullet whose name I can never remember-- My mom says he reminds her of Jackson Rod Stewart from the Hannah Montana Show, which is actually kind of funny. Mullet-Guy's voice reminds me of Colbie Caillat somehow. Except you know...like the male version of it.
Todrick Hall-- I miss the old Todrick. I loved his audition; the song was awesome. He's been picking sucky songs and doing crappy arrangements...
I still miss Joe Munoz. Once again, I don't care about the girls.
I bought some awesome books from Amazon! <3
I bought The Secret Lives of Men and Women (Post Secret book,) and I bought a photography book by Scott Kelby.
My favorite magazines are Women's Health Magazine and Cosmopolitan. I would totally subscribe but I think my parents would be a bit pissed to see I'm subscribing to a magazine with lots of sex tips... But I love the websites. (www.womenshealthmag.com and www.cosmopolitan.com)
I have a new workout!! :D Very excited! (And this is coming from someone who hates--or maybe, used to hate exercise.) So I alternate days for these. One day I'll do the Skinny Jeans Workout (yoga) from Women's Health and I'll bike somewhere for a while. Another day I'll do Look Hot in Your Jeans, also from Women's Health. Today is yoga, and yesterday was LHiYJ, and oh my GOD. I am sore!! But I'm so happy! The moves are targeted towards your legs, butt, and stomach, and holy crap do I feel it! But since it's yoga, maybe that'll help stretch me out...
I'm even on a DIET! :O *shock*
It's the Abs Diet. (Women's Health.)
A: almonds and other nuts B: beans and legumes S: spinach and other green veggies D: dairy I: instant oatmeal E: eggs T: turkey and other lean meat P: peanut butter O: olive oil W: whole-wheat grains E: extra-protein (whey) powder R: raspberries and other berries
That's everything I can't eat.
Okay, just kidding.
I have to incorporate two or more of those in every meal and snack. You're supposed to eat six times a day, but oh well. So I have to go and make a shopping list because we don't have that much food.
Tschau for now!
(Yes, I spelled it right. It's the German spelling for the Italian 'ciao'...lol)
If you read Perez Hilton, which I only recommend if you like incorrect, poorly-researched articles, you have read that Tom Kaulitz was fined for "punching" a female "fan." They continue to say that it was because the girl put out a cigarette on his windshield at a gas station, implying that was the only reason. NOT THE FULL STORY. He was fined one thousand Euro, which is about fifteen hundred USD. Okay, let's start at the beginning.
First of all, this 21-yr-old, 200-lb French girl (Perrine) and her friends were stalking Tom for months. They egged his house, camped outside his house, physically attacked their mother... Again, this went on for months. Tom repeatedly told them to stop, but they didn't.
At about 11pm one night, Tom pulls into a gas station. Perrine and her friends were there...here's the video. If you don't know German, you might want to skip till about 0:19.
The red flash seems to be the girl putting her cigarette out on his car. When he finally gets out, he hits her, she stumbles, and then he helps her back up.
Now the question is... Is he a bad person?
1. People say, "It is never okay for a man to hit a woman. Ever." 2. People say, "Men and women are equal."
If he had hit a man, would it be that big of a deal? Well, a man probably wouldn't have been stalking him, unless he were gay. But still. Would it? Probably not.
1. People say, "Violence is never the answer. It was wrong of him to do that, and two wrongs don't make a right." 2. People say, "She deserved it."
No, he probably shouldn't have hit her, but it's not like he broke any bones or caused her to get stitches or anything. She's not scarred, mangled, or whatever. She physically attacked their mother, and apparently even threatened her! So in a sense, was he defending his family? He TOLD her to stop. She didn't. She went way too far. She pushed him too far. If he wasn't a celebrity, would this be such a big deal? No. Just because he's famous doesn't mean he doesn't make mistakes. He's still human.
And honestly, I think she DID deserve. Apparently she claimed that she was donating the one thousand Euro. *rolls eyes* As if she's not going to get money from a bunch of German TV stations, asking to interview her and whatnot.
Okay, here's a metaphor.
Let's say I have a dog. My dog bites me, and I tell him to stop. He bites me repeatedly, and finally, I smack him. Does that make me a bad person? I perhaps shouldnt've have resorted to violence. But the dog pushed me too far. I got angry because I'm human. I let my anger control me. Would you think poorly of me? If you love dogs, then you probably would. You'd probably tell me that there are better ways for me to make him stop biting me. If you're not that crazy about dogs, you'd probably be like, "Well it's not like you killed him. He bit you. You didn't hurt him that bad at all when you smacked him. He hurt you more than you hurt him."
So, Perrine (the bitch) stalks (bites) Tom (me.) Tom (I) tell her (him) to stop, repeatedly. Perrine (the bitch) keeps stalking (biting) Tom (me.) She (he) pushes Tom (me) too far, and Tom (I) hit her (him.) "Well, it's not like you killed him (her.)...He (she) hurt you more than you hurt him (her.)"
Confused yet?
True, (most) women are above dogs. But women can make their own rational, logical decisions. Maybe, "Tom wants me to stop. I guess I am going a bit too far when I threaten his mother...maybe I should cut back a little and not egg their house anymore." Whereas dogs go only on their instinct and learned behavior.
I'm not saying Tom should have hit her. True, two wrongs don't make a right. But honestly, she went way too far, she's doing this for attention, (even saying that he wasn't being strongly punished enough, and he was gaining more fame which isn't fair) and she should be fined for stalking/harrassing/threatening/whatever. Since Tom is rich, I'm relatively sure that the one thousand Euro won't be too horrific of a fine, and it could be much worse.
So, I'm thankful he's not going to jail or anything. But I think she needs to be punished too.
Recently in headlines, you've probably seen the stories about the fifteen-year-old girl who sleeps for days on end. Louisa Ball has Kleine-Levin Syndrome, or Sleeping Beauty Syndrome. Basically, she ends up falling asleep for sometimes days on end, waking up only when she needs to eat or use the bathroom. It's a really rare disorder.
Apparently it actually physically affects the brain. When you're awake (and healthy) both sides of your brain are working. But when they're in the sleeping-for-days stage, the left part of the brain stops functioning, and it takes her much longer to process speech because that's the side of the brain that does so.
New couples make FaceBook so annoying. Okay, so these "lovers" are in 8th grade and in the "honeymoon phase" of the relationship. You know how it goes.
"You hang up first." "No, you hang up first!" "No, you hang up first!" "No, you hang up first!"
"Ohhh my god you are so CUTE!" "You're cuter!" "No, you're cuter!" "My baby is the cutest." "Awwwww!!!"
FaceBook has made this more annoying, awkward, and just embarrassing to look at.
Notice he wrote "Ughh I miss Delaney!" at both 6:36 and 6:54. Just in case it wasn't clear at 5:14, 5:39, 5:58, and 6:24 the day before.
I mean, seriously?! It's so awkward and weird to read this crap! Which is why I am thankful for people who are like the first commenter:
Speaking of FaceBook irritations, what's the deal with the new FaceBook?
It's weird. They should have improved things like how impersonal your profile is. It'd be nice to be able to have a background image and things like that.
On a morbid note, a seven-year old girl died in 2007 because of botox injections. Her name was Kristin Spears. She had been given the injections because she has cerebral palsy, and some doctors use it for muscle relaxation in cerebral palsy patients. She died of pneumonia and respiratory failure, allegedly a reaction to Botox, and now the mother is suing.
To cheer you up, here's my picture for today (Project 365.)
Yes, you've all heard about Apple's new iPad, starting a lot of jokes about the name (Mac's iPad...MaxiPad...). But a lot of people are also saying confusedly, "Isn't it just...a bigger iTouch?"
Well, yes and no.
You can do a lot of the same stuff on the iPad as you can with the iTouch, but you can't, for example, listen to music while checking your e-mail. According to that website, it doesn't have Flash either! (If you're not quite sure why that matters, it's what lets you play videos and stuff...yeah, I'm not really sure what it does either. But it's important.)
Honestly, even if it could do all that stuff that the website talks about, I wouldn't want it anyway. I think my iTouch is awesome. I don't need it bigger. What I would like, is that instead of a touch screen that only works with human skin touching it, I'd rather it be like a DS screen where you can use a stylus. That way it eliminates fingerprints and my screen isn't so high-maintenance. (Yes, I know that sounded lazy.) So, they should do that instead of creating some sucky iTouch spin-off.
