The House, Cleaning, and Adam Lambert

If you are a FaceBook friend of mine, you will have seen my status on how the house cleaning is going. First of all, the people who lived here last were gigantic DIRTBAGS who left in February. The landlord is super sucky, and said he was going to get the inside of the house all cleaned up for us. Well, he's a liar because...well, let me tell you about my bathroom.

So the bathroom is half-kitchen. It has a kitchen-type sink and a space for a mini-fridge, along with multiple cupboards. Then there's a door that leads into the bathroom, which is just a regular bathroom. I used six Chlorox wipes to clean the top of the door-jamb. A very thin piece of wood took six friggin' Chlorox wipes, and I use as much of the wipe as I can. That is SO not the worst of it.

Underneath the kitchen sink thing, I found a used plunger. Who the hell keeps a plunger under the sink meant to prepare FOOD? There was a second used plunger next to the toilet, also.

So then I moved on to the bathroom sink. Underneath, there was:

• Four almost-used-up toilet paper rolls
• The Charmin bag (empty)
• an empty Chlorox container
• a freakin' NEWSPAPER
• and a MaxiPad wrapper!!

Ugh!!

I felt like showering after that, but I hadn't yet worked on the tub.

Other than the filth, I love the house! I will post pictures soon, but we're very busy. (But not too busy for me to mess around online, muahaha.)

Moving, Alice in Wonderland, DSDS, a New Blog, and a Surprise Get-Together Thing :D Although, Not Necessarily in That Order

I'm working on moving to Rhode Island, and we leave on Thursday.

So last Friday I went to the mall with my friend to see Alice in Wonderland. What she didn't tell me, was that she also invited four friends as a sort of last-goodbye. It was very very very awesome, and I was really glad to be able to see everyone one last time! :D One friend gave me a little music box thing that plays English Country Gardens! :D

Now for the movie review...

One friend already published a review on his Facebook but mine is a bit different. First off, the movie was pretty different from the book. In the beginning, if no one had told me I was watching Alice in Wonderland, I wouldn't have known. It started off with Alice at 20 years old and on her way to a party. There she sees the white rabbit, and follows him down a hole. In the book, she's with her sister, who's reading a book. Alice falls asleep, unknown to the reader till the end of the story, and she goes to Wonderland.

I loved what Burton did to the movie though. It was really cool. Johnny Depp was great as the Mad Hatter, and I loved the Cheshire Cat.

Last week, Manuel Hoffmann was eliminated from DSDS, leaving Kim Debkowski, Thomas Karaoglan, Menowin Froehlich, Mehrzad Marashi, and Helmut Orosz.

NOT.

He was still eliminated, but so was Helmut Orosz! Helmut was eliminated because a video surfaced, in which he and a friend were taped doing cocaine. So now they are down to Kim Debkowski, Thomas Karaoglan, Menowin Froehlich, and Mehrzad Marashi!

Found a really cool blog, written by a teacher at a school who eats the lunch served by the cafeteria. It's called Fed Up With Lunch: The School Lunch Project.

PS -- I love poker. And I learned how to play hearts!

Alice in Wonderland and My Favorite Song from the Soundtrack!!!

So Alice in Wonderland came out on Friday with Johnny Depp + Tim Burton, Anne Hathaway, and other well-known actors and actresses.... I'm SUPER excited to see it! I love Tim Burton, and his movies with Johnny Depp are always awesome. I just love all of those movies, and the dark, gothic feel to them. I've also been reading the book in both German and English on my Kindle.

Okay, now about my favorite song! "Strange" with Kerli, a rather Gothic singer from Estonia (who I like) and Tokio Hotel (stifles excited screams), a fanTASTic band from Germany! I could go on forever about Tokio Hotel, but I'll save you the fangirl speech. ;D Haha. So here is the B-E-A-U-tiful song:

I'm starting to forget the meaning of the word "strange."

And at the beginning, when I heard it, I was like "Ohmigod, is that seriously Bill?!" because for some reason, he sounds really different at the beginning! But you can really tell it's him in the chorus! And if this is the first time you've heard of Tokio Hotel (read: if you don't actually know me) then yes, haha, Bill looks so girly, are you sure he's a guy, he's gay isn't he, blah blah blah. /rolls eyes/ Just get it out now, because Bill's awesome, and this is so NOT the last time I shall blog about him and his extremely hot twin, Tom.*

Hehe...yum. 

* And their bassist and drummer, Georg Listing and Gustav Schaefer. But they get kind of overlooked since they're standing in the shadow of pure sexiness (Tom.)

On a sort of related, sort of not related note, Bill is freakin' TALL. He's over 6 feet! And Tom is 5'11, but Bill is freakin' TALL.

The Library, a New Blog, and More

So I went to the library today. I spent like 30 minutes looking through the non-fiction section, looking for the photography section because I didn't feel like using the card catalog (you have to get one of the librarians, and I had no idea where the hell they were.) And then finally I went through the card catalog and found the section. Unfortunately, all the books on digital photography were written in like 1982, and it's like, "Um...no."

I've been really inspired to go out and shoot, but I can't in this neighborhood! But I've learned so much! I just want to try it out. ARGH.

Also, I learned how to pick bike locks today! :D Mainly because mine was messed up...I somehow accidentally changed the combo when I locked it, and then it didn't work when I tried to undo it, of course. So I had to walk home, get Dad to drive me to the library, and unlock my bike. (I didn't realize what had happened until Dad showed me what I did. Also super cool that I found out how to pick it lol.)

I have created a joint blog with a friend. We haven't written anything yet, but when we do, I'll share the link. I'm pretty excited, it'll be nice to have more than one writer.

I spent a bunch of time just YouTubing today. A bunch of Lion King songs in different languages! Arabic, Cantonese, Croatian, Icelandic, Greek, Hungarian, German, Polish, and Russian. I like "Morning Report" in Croatian, which is apparently "Jutarni Glas." And I found the Russian Winnie the Pooh!!!

CUUUUUUUTE!!!

• Jermaine Sellers-- boring. Picks crappy songs. Reminiscent of lounge music and old people.
• Jon Park-- boring. Picks crappy songs.
• Tim Urban-- not as cute as everyone thinks. Not that great a voice. Don't think he has what it takes. Not good at picking songs.
• Michael Lynche-- Not the worst, but not the best.
• Lee Dewyze-- can't STAND this guy. His voice is nice I guess, but he is so...WEAK. Nervous. Personality-wise, he seems pale and watered down.
• Casey James-- I think it's funny that Cara is such a fan, but can you imagine how embarrassing it is? And also, if Randi (Randy?) or Simon did that to a girl, they would be in a LOT of trouble.
• Aaron Kelly-- great job last night. I've warmed up to him 'cause he does photography, lol. But he's too reminiscent of Jesse McCartney. I don't know...
• Andrew Garcia-- *does the wave* I LOVE HIM! :D Lol. Not a great job picking songs, lately. But he's so awesome! I want him to win!!
• The guy with the mullet whose name I can never remember-- My mom says he reminds her of Jackson Rod Stewart from the Hannah Montana Show, which is actually kind of funny. Mullet-Guy's voice reminds me of Colbie Caillat somehow. Except you know...like the male version of it.
• Todrick Hall-- I miss the old Todrick. I loved his audition; the song was awesome. He's been picking sucky songs and doing crappy arrangements... 

I still miss Joe Munoz. Once again, I don't care about the girls.

I bought some awesome books from Amazon! <3

I bought The Secret Lives of Men and Women (Post Secret book,) and I bought a photography book by Scott Kelby.

My favorite magazines are Women's Health Magazine and Cosmopolitan. I would totally subscribe but I think my parents would be a bit pissed to see I'm subscribing to a magazine with lots of sex tips... But I love the websites. (www.womenshealthmag.com and www.cosmopolitan.com)

I have a new workout!! :D Very excited! (And this is coming from someone who hates--or maybe, used to hate exercise.) So I alternate days for these. One day I'll do the Skinny Jeans Workout (yoga) from Women's Health and I'll bike somewhere for a while. Another day I'll do Look Hot in Your Jeans, also from Women's Health. Today is yoga, and yesterday was LHiYJ, and oh my GOD. I am sore!! But I'm so happy! The moves are targeted towards your legs, butt, and stomach, and holy crap do I feel it! But since it's yoga, maybe that'll help stretch me out...

I'm even on a DIET! :O *shock*

That's everything I can't eat.

Okay, just kidding.

I have to incorporate two or more of those in every meal and snack. You're supposed to eat six times a day, but oh well. So I have to go and make a shopping list because we don't have that much food.

You all know it. It hasn't been on any radio stations around here for some reason, but when I saw it that had been number one on iTunes, and I'd never heard it before, I had to YouTube it.

Anyway, Ke$ha's really a sort of dirty girl, don't you think? Yeah, I guess she's sexy, but she's such a slut. And honestly, her accent really irritates me -- and I love [guys' European or Russian] accents. But the way she says "Pedicure on our to-es, to-es, tryin' on all our clo-thes, clo-thes" just kind of...ugh. I just don't see what's so great about her.

She also doesn't sound so great live.

Does anyone else agree, or am I completely ignorant about the musical culture? ;)

The New iPad

Yes, you've all heard about Apple's new iPad, starting a lot of jokes about the name (Mac's iPad...MaxiPad...). But a lot of people are also saying confusedly, "Isn't it just...a bigger iTouch?"  

Well, yes and no. 

You can do a lot of the same stuff on the iPad as you can with the iTouch, but you can't, for example, listen to music while checking your e-mail. According to that website, it doesn't have Flash either! (If you're not quite sure why that matters, it's what lets you play videos and stuff...yeah, I'm not really sure what it does either. But it's important.)

Honestly, even if it could do all that stuff that the website talks about, I wouldn't want it anyway. I think my iTouch is awesome. I don't need it bigger. What I would like, is that instead of a touch screen that only works with human skin touching it, I'd rather it be like a DS screen where you can use a stylus. That way it eliminates fingerprints and my screen isn't so high-maintenance. (Yes, I know that sounded lazy.) So, they should do that instead of creating some sucky iTouch spin-off.
